Customisation process

There's a common misconception that custom jewellery is always more expensive than ready-made or pre-designed pieces. However, ready-made jewellery also incurs design costs. With custom pieces, you become the designer, crafting something truly unique. We excel at working within budgets to provide the best value. Whether it's custom or ready-made, jewellery prices depend on materials (diamonds and gold) and the complexity of craftsmanship.

Material

We most commonly use 18K solid gold because it offers the best alloy-to-gold ratio, ensuring durability. Pure (24K) gold is naturally soft, making it malleable and prone to bending, which may not securely hold diamonds or stones in place. For individuals with gold allergies, platinum serves as an excellent alternative material.

For engagement ring, the centre diamond is the main attraction. There are 2 parts to the process of choosing the centre diamond:

Shape

Round Brilliant Cut Diamonds have long held the title of the most popular choice for engagement rings. However, we've observed a steady rise in demand for fancy shapes such as Oval, Princess, Pear, Cushion, Marquise, and Radiant Cut Diamonds. The choice of diamond shape is a matter of personal preference and varies from one individual to another.

4Cs

Each element of the 4Cs (Cut, Colour, Clarity, Carat) determines the quality of the diamond and, consequently, its cost. When searching for the right stone, it's crucial to balance the most significant aspect of the 4Cs with your budget to ensure you get the best value for your investment.

Design

The design process is a collaborative art. We listen to your ideas and story to incorporate key details into the jewelry. We provide guidance on structure, comfort, and style. Our experience and technical expertise ensure a seamless design process.

A 20% deposit initiates the visual design phase. Hand-drawn or computer-aided designs represent our discussions, leading to the final design submitted to our jeweler for bespoke crafting.

Our bespoke crafting takes place in our Perth workshop and typically requires 4 to 5 weeks to be crafted once the design is finalised. Custom jewellery holds unparalleled sentimental value, crafted with care and thought for special, lifelong occasions.
